Temple Emanu-El will bring back The Cinema Emanu-El film series in July.
A film will be screened every Tuesday starting July 11 in the Tobian Auditorium. The kickoff movie will be Hallelujah, a film about singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen and his hymn “Hallelujah.”
The film includes notebooks, journals, photos, rare audio recordings and interviews. Afterward, there will be a talk back discussion.
Other films in the series include The Man Behind the Crown and Our (Almost Completely) True Story. Each one will be followed by a talk back with a host or panel.
