Author and Preston Hollow neighbor Ben Fountain’s latest book, Devil Makes Three, will be available to readers next month.
The novel takes place in Haiti in 1991 where an American expat, Matt Amaker, has to abandon his beachfront business following a coup to overthrow of Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. The coup results in a dictatorship and chaos.
To survive, Matt joins forces with his friend, Alix, to explore shipwrecks for treasure. It’s filled with politics, power and more.
This will be Fountain’s fourth published book, following Beautiful Country Burn Again, bestseller Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk and award-winning Brief Encounters with Che Guevara. Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk was also adapted into a film in 2016.
Devil Makes Three will be released September 26, 2023.
