The time-honored tradition of the Dallas Greek Festival returns this weekend for its 68th year at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, beginning Friday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m.

In 1955, the Dallas Greek Festival started as just a ladies’ bazaar but has since grown into a Dallas community event staple. Now in its 68th year, it continues to step into Greece with homemade Greek dishes, live cultural entertainment and church tours.

Festival goers can learn about religious traditions from the lecture on Byzantine with a church tour. There will be shopping vendors at the Agora, a one-of-a-kind shopping center. There will be traditional Greek food such as gyro, souvlaki, lamb, feta bites, Greek fries and Greek wine and beer. For entertainment, guests can have a good time watching and joining the Holy Trinity Hellenic Dancers, rolling up their sleeves for a hands-on cooking demonstration.

Inside the courtyard will be traditional pastries made by the same charitable organization who were behind the first lady’s Bazaar many years ago and how it became the festival it is today.

The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday on the corner of Hillcrest Road and Alpha.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased online or at the festival.
