The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce will host a series of candidate forums next week, providing an opportunity for the community to interact with political nominees firsthand.

Each forum will run for approximately an hour each, the first two forums will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the NDCC’s location.

The first forum is set for Tuesday, Feb. 13 and will focus on the Republican primary candidates vying for the TX House District 70. Admission is free and attendees can expect to hear from contenders Joe Collins and Steven Kinard, with moderation by Patrick Brophey.

On Thursday, Feb. 15, will be the Democratic primary candidates from TX House District 108, Yasmin Simon and Elizabeth Ginsberg, also with free admission. Moderating this session will be Jeff Kitner.

The Democratic primary candidates from TX Senate District 16, will meet at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce on Friday, Feb. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission for this event is priced at $15, which includes lunch. The lineup features State Representative District 107 Victoria Neave Criado and State Senator District 16 Nathan Johnson.

These forums were organized in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Dallas, the North Texas Commission and the Richardson Chamber of Commerce.

Early voting starts this month and elections start March 5.

Each forum will feature a live broadcast for those unwilling to attend in person.
