Dallas police responded to a car accident on Saturday night near Lovers Lane involving Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Rashee Rice.

On March 30 around 6:25 p.m., officers were called to a multi-vehicle accident in the 6600 block of northbound North Central Expressway near Lovers Lane. The preliminary investigation revealed that two drivers, one in a Corvette and the other in a Lamborghini, were speeding in the far left lane near University Boulevard.

Both drivers lost control, with the Lamborghini veering onto the shoulder and colliding with the center median wall, initiating a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles. Afterward, both drivers fled the scene without stopping to check for injuries or provide their information, according to Dallas police.

A dashboard camera shows the two black luxury cars speeding on the left side of North Central Expressway and hitting multiple cars. Five passengers from Lamborghini and the Corvette leave the scene following the accident.

The driver of the Corvette was later identified as Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver and former SMU wide receiver. Police have not confirmed the identity of the Lamborghini nor the other drivers at the scene.

“On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone impacted by the automobile accident on Saturday,” Rashee Rice’s attorney and Dallas State Senator, Royce West, sent to CBS News Texas. “Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.”

Two victims from the accident were treated at the scene by Dallas Fire Rescue for minor injuries and two occupants of another vehicle were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Lamborghini involved in the accident is registered under Rice’s name at The Classic Lifestyle, an exotic car rental company in Dallas. Kyle Coker, a representative of the rental company, told Fox 4 News that Rice was the only one authorized to drive the vehicle.

“Although we’re saddened by what happened and we’re very frustrated from a business sense because this is hurting us,” Coker said. “We don’t have any legal responsibility here. There were a ton of laws being broken at the time that this accident happened. We are pushing everyone to take accountability and get towards a resolution as much as anyone else is at this time.”

The investigation is still ongoing and police have not made any arrests.
