Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) announced “Hope Blooms” as this year’s Art for Advocacy event.

During a kickoff party sponsored by NexPoint at the home of philanthropists Amy and Justin Grissen on April 18, DCAC made the announcement of its 17th annual Art for Advocacy event. The event serves to help raise funds and awareness for the nonprofit while celebrating the transformative power of art.

The event will include a silent auction featuring 80 artworks, a seated dinner, cocktails and a live art auction. Proceeds will support DCAC’s mission to combat child abuse in Dallas and provide essential healing to families and children.

Hosted by Stephanie and John Roberts, the event is co-chaired by Courtney Gilbert, Amy Grissen and Holly Lawrence, with honorary chairs Katy and Kyle Miller.

“…the prevalence of child abuse in our community is a stark reality. But because of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, this is not the end of the story,” Gilbert said. “DCAC is committed to ensuring that every single child who walks through their doors will receive the support, care, and justice they deserve. The seeds planted through services like family advocacy and trauma-informed therapy are nurtured by the ongoing support of committed staff and partners like you, bringing forth true hope and healing for victims and their families.”

Presented by LABORA, the event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14.
