Make-A-Wish North Texas held its annual Wish Night Gala, raising a record $2.2 million with 890 guests.

The Wish Night Gala, held on Saturday, May 1, surpassed its live auction goal by $100,000 and its paddle raise goal by $325,000. Proceeds from the event help fulfill the wishes of over 1,100 children in North Texas.

During the event, two wishes were granted to sisters Sydney and Sasha Saynor, both diagnosed with cancer. Sydney, 18, developed a passion for illustration during her hospital isolation. Oklahoma Christian University granted her full tuition for eight semesters. Sasha, 12, who loves theater, will fulfill her love of theater with a trip to Broadway this summer.

Wish Night is not just a gala—it’s a celebration of hope and possibility,” Kim Elenez said, CEO of Make-A-Wish North Texas. “Every wish granted is a beacon of light for children and families navigating challenging circumstances. Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of these courageous individuals. It’s a testament to the incredible generosity and compassion within our community. I’m inspired by the resilience of wish kids, and I’m committed to making sure every child’s wish becomes a reality.”

Alison Delzell and Paige Kelly co-chaired this year’s event, continuing the tradition of granting wishes to eligible children in 161 counties across Texas.
