The Dallas CASA Parade of Playhouses returns for its 29th year to NorthPark Center this week.
Dallas CASA’s Parade of Playhouses will be on display from June 14 to 30. For 17 days, shoppers can view the creative houses made by local builders, architects, sponsors and organizations.
The event will feature 16 playhouses, with each one creatively different from the others. From the Dallas Mavericks, a basketball shoe-shaped house and designed by Carlos Sierra and built by DPR Construction. Another, an A-frame playhouse designed by Perkins + Will, built by Balfour Beatty Construction and created with Stream Realty Partners and BakerTriangle Prefab.
Other architects and builders include Austin Commercial, Earthbound Martian, Coats Homes and Highland Park High School MAPS Students among others.
To win a playhouse, visitors can purchase a single raffle ticket for $5, or 5 for $20. Winning tickets will be drawn at 4 p.m. on June 30, the last day of the event.
All proceeds from the raffle ticket benefit Dallas CASA, an organization that helps children of abuse or neglect find a safe and permanent home.
The playhouses will be on display throughout the first floor of NorthPark Center.
