The annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas is set for October 25 to November 13 at 2999 Turtle Creek Blvd. Though not in our neighborhood, this year’s designer lineup features Preston Hollow neighbor Eddie Maestri of Maestri Studios.
“Historically, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House is where the design community comes together to showcase the best and brightest new ideas in high design homes,” said Vipin Nambiar, founder and managing partner of HN Capital Partners. “We believe that 2999 Turtle Creek is an iconic structure, which will provide a fitting canvas for the best American designers to bring their most inspired ideas to life. We are also passionate about infusing excellence in design sensibility into the development work being undertaken in Dallas, and these exhibitions and the great collaborators in the Dallas Design District, are making this happen everyday. We look forward to welcoming the Kips Bay Show House design participants and the Dallas community to the property.”
Maestri, a New Orleans native, founded Maestri Studios in Dallas in 2008. His Preston Hollow home, which was featured in Architectural Digest in 2021, is inspired by his upbringing in Louisiana and travels in Italy and Palm Springs. He opened a gallery in East Dallas inside Maestri Studios in 2018.
“To this day, I bring a sketchbook wherever I travel. I find that I can learn so much about space and design through hand sketching. I rely heavily on sketching to convey design vision to my clients. It’s a part of the design process that I truly love,” Maestri said.
Maestri is one of 25 designers and architects that will work on the Park Cities home. Kips Bay show homes are open to the public for three weeks every year, serving as a fundraiser for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and Dallas charities Dwell with Dignity and The Crystal Charity Ball.
Prior to the house tour’s opening, the Annual Kips Bay President’s Dinner will take place on October 23 with a tented dinner on the lawn at the Mansion on Turtle Creek hosted by Carbone Dallas. Tickets to the dinner are available online as well as tickets to the home tour.
