Students filled classrooms at DeGolyer elementary Friday dressed in their PJ’s and paper hats to celebrate the birthday of the remarkable author, Theodor Seuss Geisel. Local parents and community members volunteered to read “The Cat in the Hat,” “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!,” and other classics. I even got to read to a class myself, though I don’t think they were amused by my jokes.
