This week, DISD Superintendent Michael Hinojosa is honoring the district’s top scholars for excelling in the state’s Advanced Placement academic program.

A total of 469 Dallas high school students earned the honor, 46 of which attend Hillcrest High School.

In fact, out of the 20 Dallas high schools on the list, Hillcrest has the fourth-highest number of students being honored.

Booker T. Washington placed third with 51 students, Townview’s School for the Talented and Gifted placed second with 76 students, and Townview’s School of Science and Engineering placed first with 121 students.

Each of these schools have specific focuses, however, making Hillcrest the highest-ranked comprehensive Dallas school to make the list.

There must be some mighty proud Panthers walking around Preston Hollow this week. Congratulations to the all students, parents, teachers, and faculty members who helped Hillcrest earn that honor.
