CBS 11 reported that early this morning, a man was arrested for allegedly attacking a woman with a machete. The attack happened around 2:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Spanish Point Apartments off Harvest Hill Road.
Apparently, Ever Alonso was waiting in the bushes for his ex-girlfriend to return home from work. When she arrived, he confronted her and the pair began to argue. The woman’s friend, Vanessa Galo, attempted to intervene and that’s when Alonso attacked her with a machete. She received serious cuts to her arms and head, according to police reports. She was taken to Methodist Medical Center, but no word yet on her condition. Alonso was arrested for the attack just before 7 a.m.
