Three weeks, 1,500 eggs, and "lots and lots of sugar." That’s what it took for Dunia Borga to create the life-size chocolate and meringue  holiday sculpture  on display now at NorthPark. She and her pastry team  have created a culinary masterpiece: a five-foot tall snowman next to a sleigh and an eight-foot tall Christmas tree–and every bit of it is edible.

I just got off the phone with Duni, who tells me  the snowman isn’t officially named , but people passing by have started affectionately referring to it as the "cuatro leches snowman."  The display is in promotion of her latest venture, La Duni Latin  Kitchen and Coffee Studio, which just opened yesterday. She tells me that this location is the first to carry her cupcakes. "Typically they’re special-order only, but here anyone can get them," she tells me. She also says that business so far is good, but not great. "We’re still waiting for people to find out that we’re  even here at NorthPark."  The restaurant is a bit out of the way. It’s on level one, beneath the movie theater. The low-traffic location might not be ideal for a restaurant, but it’s definitely got its perks, too. "We have a beautiful view of the courtyard where we are," Duni says. "If you get sick of shopping, you can come here and you actually feel like someone has taken you out of Dallas. You can relax and take in the scenery, and have a mojito."  You throw in one of those cuatro leches cupcakes (or two) and you’ve got yourself a real happy hour.
