The oldie but goodie classic "A Christmas Carol" opens this weekend at the Dallas Theater Center. I saw this production here last year, and it was very good (and I’ve seen it at other theaters, too). This rendition stars a very convincing Scrooge–he even has the real bristly mutton chops and everything. This is a feel-good festive adaptation with lots of singing, dancing and humor. Plus the theater passes out blankets, in case you’re that person who is always freezing (like me). Follow that up with a carriage ride tour of the Christmas lights in our neighborhood and you have yourself the quintessential holiday outing.
