The Hillcrest High School band is in dire need of some financial help, which you already know if you follow this blog. The kids will be raising money with a carwash this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school.
There will be a massive sidewalk sale at West Village all weekend, granted the rain stays at bay. Most shops will be clearing out their summer inventory, with some offering discounts up to 75 percent.
Sunday you can sample some local, pasture-raised beef, pork and chicken from Dominion Farms from Denison and JZJ Natural Beef from Troy. Both will be offering a free tasting at the Eat Green DFW farmers market at Milestone Culinary Arts Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
