Members of the Kramer PTA are selling tamales to raise money for the fifth-grade class trip to Sky Ranch for science camp this spring.

The tamales are coming from Dallas Tortilla Factory — which in my opinion, make the best in the city, and I’ve tried a whole lot of tamales. Tamales are available in chicken, pork, and beef (with and without jalapenos), and are $10 per dozen. Most folks have to wait in line to get tamales at the Dallas Tortilla Factory, something I’ve done several times, and they’re known to run out the closer they get to the holidays. Ordering through the Kramer PTA, however, is a great way to forgo the lines and help some of our much-deserving neighborhood kids.

Orders are being taken now through Friday, Dec. 11. You can pick up that order at the school cafeteria Monday, Dec. 14, from 3 to 5:30 p.m.. Find out how to submit your order form here—and if you have any questions, you can email parent Kara Perez.
