Saturday you can take the kids to see Santa Claus and his live reindeer over at the Plaza at Preston Center. Just make sure you bring your camera because you’re allowed to snap your own free photos.
There will also be a bake sale over at NorthPark, but don’t expect any Rice Krispies treats. The city’s top pastry chefs did the baking for this sale, so you can score gourmet goodies at a bargain here. Proceeds will benefit theTexas Chefs Association and North Texas Food Bank’s Operation Frontline cooking and nutrition education program.
If you’re in the market for some not-so-common gift items, North Haven Gardens has you covered. They’ll be selling handmade wooden writing pens, and backyard hens this Saturday. I know, I also thought that writing pens and hens was an odd mix.
