If the rain stays at bay, you can start your Saturday morning with free yoga at NorthPark. And if you head to NorthCourt at 2 that afternoon, you can catch a free concert for the kids courtesy of Grammy Award-winning polka band "Brave Combo."
Saturday afternoon you can also checkout Metroplex Mutts at Preston Center. This free event, hosted by the Shelton freshmen class, will feature pet adoptions, dog-training tips, and a canine fashion show. There will also be some hands-on craft activities for kids, and several prize giveaways.
The Amnesty International chapters of Plano East Senior High and SMU are teaming up Sunday to host a fashion show that’ll raise money for human rights efforts. The show, which will feature outfits created from recycled garments, will benefit Amnesty International and The Girl Effect. Local dance crews and bands will also perform during this event, which is from 2 to 5 p.m. inside the SMU Hughes-Trigg center. Though the event is free, a donation of $10 or clothing is requested at the door.
