Carol Wingard of George Bannerman Dealey International Academy will head to Houston’s Johnson Space Center in July to be a part of NASA’s LiftOff program, which involves only 46 teachers across the country. The weeklong event aims to educate instructors about new space exploration. They’ll conduct experiments, tour facilities and share ideas with professional scientists and engineers. This is the 21st year for the LiftOff program, and this year’s theme is Design a Space Mission.
