Two W.T. White students, Chizitere Anaghara and Selina Rodriquez, spent the summer in Washington D.C., learning all about the inner workings of the U.S. government. They were among 11 DISD students selected to participate in the Texas Leadership Forum, a week-long conference hosted by U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions – a Republican from Dallas.

The students met with several leaders at the White House, Pentagon and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, INTERPOL and the Taiwanese Embassy. Sponsored by the Today Foundation, the program recruits students based on academic performance, community involvement and leadership qualities.
