If you’re looking for Halloween events in the neighborhood, editor Emily Toman has got you covered. However, if you’re not in the mood tricks or treats, here are other events happening in the neighborhood.

MoMe Yoga will be held at Bookmarks in NorthPark Center on Friday, Oct. 29 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The event will include yoga for parents and children. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat to the event.

Looking for a little culture this weekend?  The Meadows Symphony Orchestra will perform Friday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m.  The performance will highlight several pieces by modern composers including: Giya Kancheli, Henri Tomasi, and a folk-inspired piece by Antonin Dvorak. Tickets are $13 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $7 for Southern Methodist University (link) students, faculty and staff.  The concert will be held in Caruth Auditorium at the Owens Arts Center.

Attention book lovers: Olyve Abbott, a Texas author, will be signing her latest novel, Texas Ghosts: Galveston, Houston and Vicinity at Barnes and Noble off of Northwest Highway, on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.
