As if our neighborhood can’t get any sweeter – with shops like Creme de la Cookie, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Tart Bakery, and the list goes on – a new mother-daughter franchise has opened up in Inwood Village.
Gigi’s Cupcakes offers 60 custom flavors from red velvet to more adventurous concoctions like Kentucky bourbon pie, candied sweet potato and Southern Comfort.
The shop is right near Cafe Istanbul on the east side of Inwood. The menu changes every day, and you also can order online. Gigi’s actually has several locations throughout the country, and this is the first in Texas. The cupcakes range from $3 a piece to $33 a dozen. The shop is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
