Two cars were broken into Monday night in the Hillcrest Forest neighborhood. Someone broke the rear window of a 2007 Cadillac parked in the 7300 block of Currin and stole a $3,000 radio, CD player and DVD system. There was $200 of damage to the back window and $1,000 worth of damage to the dashboard. The suspect also stole one of the leather seats in the back – a $2,500 value.

That same night, someone pried open the door to another Cadillac in the 7200 block of Midbury near Kramer Elementary, stealing one of the rear seats worth $1,000, a $500 navigation system and a $500 car stereo. There was $1,500 worth of damage done to the dashboard and $1,000 in damage to the rear window.

Neighbors are advised to park their vehicles in their garages or another secure place at night.
