The Jewish Community Center presents “The Sound of Music”, which opened Wednesday and continues through Monday. The J Players perform the classic musical of the Von Trapp family and, since so many talented kids auditioned, the show was double cast. Admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Medical City Hospital and the Spirit of Women Network hosts A Day of Dance for Your Health 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at NorthPark Center between Nordstrom and Macy’s, recognizing American Heart Month. The event is free and features sessions with dance groups, including Power House of Dallas, Park Cities Dance, Dallas Tap Dazzlers, ACME Swing Company, North Texas Square Dancing and North Texas Clogging. Folk musicians Bill and Kate Isles perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse at Northpark Presbyterian with Katie Dahl opening the show. Tickets are $12-$15.
