If you’re heading to the movie theater this weekend, take note that our own 2005 W.T. White High School graduate Johnny Simmons has a role in the new Robert Redford film, “The Conspirator”, opening today at the Angelika. Neighborhood resident Louisa Meyer gave us the heads up on this local connection.

Simmons plays the main character’s son, John Surratt in the period piece, which chronicles the trial of the woman Mary Surratt charged as a co-conspirator in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

From the looks of his IMDB page, this isn’t Simmons first appearance in a major motion picture. You also can see him in “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and “Jennifer’s Body” among others. He’s looking pretty sharp in his bio on “The Conspirator” cast list, too.
