Two prominent, neighborhood Jewish organizations are gearing up for their annual meetings.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas will celebrate an important milestone – its Centennial Celebration. The organization will hold its 100th Annual Meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Zale Auditorium at the Jewish Community Center. Members recount the history of the Federation and recognize Jewish leaders in the community.

Next week, the JCC will honor its leaders at its 132nd Annual Meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. June 28 in the Zale Auditorium. This year’s theme is “Running the Distance”. The program includes awards for Leader of the Year (Angela Horowitz), the Hank Bodner Award ( Eleni Wilsmann) and the Sam Slusher Award (Heather Cordova). The board also will pay tribute to outgoing JCC Chairman of the Board Alan Shor, who has been an active member since 1996. He served in his position since 2005, and Phil Rosenfield will take his place.
