‘Tis the season for new leaders at our neighborhood private schools. The Lamplighter School will install Joan Buchanan Hill during a ceremony this Sunday.

Hill served for 11 years at Columbus School for Girls in Ohio and will soon have a doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Hill already has some plans for Lamplighter, picking up with the previous head of school left off:

“I am excited to announce several initiatives including the continuation of the Dolores Evans Speaker Series kicking off in January with Mindset author, Dr. Carol Dweck,” Hill said in a press release. “In addition we are launching a new Parent Education Series starting in November, and a freshly minted partnership with the Museum of Nature and Science.”
