Explore a new book every week at the Jewish Community Center. The J Book Fair has begun. The opening reception was last week, and the author series and book discussions start tonight. Reservations are highly recommended for each event.

The Tycher Library Community Read is at 7:30 tonight with authors Nadia Kalman and David Bezmozgis. The free event features two award-winning books: “The Cosmopolitans” and “The Free World.” Call 214.239.7132 to reserve a spot.

Next week, author Diana Spechler talks about her book “Skinny,” which addresses body image issues, at 7 p.m. Nov. 8. Admission to this one is $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
