Help clean up our neighborhood parks during the citywide It’s My Park Day 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 31. And, maybe meet some new neighbors in the process.

Preston Hollow East Homeowner’s Association will participate at Preston Hollow Park, weeding, picking up trash and debris and sweeping around the baseball dugout and children’s sandbox. Councilmember Ann Margolin will make an appearance, and a Dallas Fire Rescue truck will stop by noon-2 p.m. Bring your own picnic lunch along with yard tools. The event also includes the Preston Hollow Woman’s Club and the Preston Hollow Early Childhood PTA. To RSVP, contact Gay Donnell at 214.549.1820. By the way, have you seen our historical piece on Preston Hollow Park?

Northaven Park Neighborhood Association will be cleaning up Northaven Park and Cox Lane Park with the North Dallas Early Childhood PTA. Projects include painting the fence around the Port-o-let and the metal box in front of the baseball field, picking up trash, painting the merry-go-round and turtle and installing a rose garden. Call 214. 357.4797 to get involved.

Friends of the Northaven Trail will gather at Dealey Park to clean out brush under several large trees along the newly constructed trail. Don’t forget about the grand opening of the trial April 14.
