The Jewish Community Center is gearing up for its 16th annual Jewish Film Festival, which presents award-winning films highlighting the Jewish experience.

The festival, which features 10 films, is Sept. 6-29, and tickets are on sale now.

The series opens at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 with “David,” set in Brooklyn, in which a young Muslim boy befriends at Yeshiva student. The festival includes genres such as drama, romantic comedy and documentary. See the full line-up here.

Tickets to individual films are $10 each, except for opening night, which is $15. A pass to the entire series is $95. You can buy tickets online. Admission at the door is $2 more.

Each film is screened at one of three venues: The JCC Zale Auditorium, Studio Movie Grill on Royal and the Angelika Film Center.
