Hula hoop artist Jesse Patterson poses for a photo by Paul Armstrong.

As the youngest performer selected to star in the upcoming Cirque Banquisté performance, Ursuline Academy student Jesse Patterson will whirl a splendor of colors past the eyes of many Dec. 27 – Jan. 1 at the Dallas Children’s Theater.

This young woman is no regular hula-hooper, check out the action shot below and you’ll see what I mean. I can’t imagine the talent it must take to do this as I cannot even get the hoop around twice without dropping it.

Students from the school will perform in the lobby 45 minutes prior to the show, and the main stage will feature international circus starts from the United States, Argentina, Chile, Cuba and Russia.

At the performance you can watch acrobats, aerialists, hand balancers, jugglers, clowns, contortionists and more all for the benefit of not-for-profit, Lone Star Circus Arts. Click here for showtimes and ticket prices.
