In her art-filled Preston Hollow abode, former national, Eliza Solender held a President’s Tea to raise scholarships for aspiring females in the real estate industry.

On March 28, Solender, a former president of CREW Dallas, hosted a President’s Tea for the local chapter. Attendees were past chapter presidents, distinguished achievement awardees and lifetime members and met to discuss the inauguration of the new CREW in the Community Education Fund.

Managed by the Communites Foundation of Texas, the Fund seeks to foster scholarships of up to $5,000 each to 15 to 20 local, financially disadvantaged female students pursuing degrees or certifications in commercial real estate-related fields at accredited institutions.

Solender combines her background in nonprofits with her real estate career with her commercial real estate consulting company, Solender/Hall, Inc., helping nonprofit organizations with properties.

Since 1990, the Dallas chapter of CREW has been working to improve opportunities for women in commercial real estate.
