Nicole Small, Perot Museum of Nature and Science CEO and Lamplighter alumna, was honored as the recipient of the 2012–2013 Lamplighter Spirit Award at a school luncheon to benefit nonprofit, Attitudes and Attire.

More than 150 Lamplighter alumni, parents, faculty, and staff donated gently used accessories to the nonprofit that aims to “build self-confidence in women to develop successful life skills.”

So it’s more than fitting that successful Small would receive the award, which of course, she was humbled by. She also went on to say that Perot is like a “grown up Lamplighter. It is a place that inspires curiosity, creativity, a love of lifelong learning, and just plain fun,” she said via press release.
