Pack a picnic and grab some chairs/blankets for The Shops at Park Lane’s “Movies Under The Moon” event 8:30 p.m. June 7. Sponsored by 7-Eleven, attendees will watch “Escape from Planet Earth,” sip free Slurpees, and receive DVD giveaways. Popcorn will be on sale for $1 a bag, and Gordon Biersch will sell food and alcohol.
Inwood Tavern owners Lisa and Elia “Tom” Georgalis will host the tavern’s 49th anniversary bash 6 p.m.–2 a.m. June 7. The event will feature live music by Droo D’Anna and DJ Tyler Dean, $1 tacos by Jack’s Chowhound food truck, Smartarita low calorie margarita tastings, root beer shots and cocktails courtesy of Three Olives Vodka, American Harvest Vodka and Peligoso Cinnamon Tequila.
The Dallas Wine Trail’s fifth annual event is 11 a.m.-5 p.m. June 8 where you’ll get to tour four Dallas wineries for $39.95. The ticket includes: three tastes at each of the four wineries, a 19.5-ounce crystal Dallas Wine Trail wine glass, good pairings at each winery and a Dallas Wine Trail map.
Northaven Park Neighborhood Association will host “Movie in the Park Night” 7:30 p.m. June 8. The group will show “Argo” on a 12′ inflatable outdoor movie screen. Pack a picnic and be sure to bring blankets and chairs. The association will hand out water and popcorn. Movie night takes place next to the park’s tennis court and is free to NPNA members, or to those who join that night.
