North Dallas-based real estate firm Ebby Halliday is sponsoring a canned-food drive to support the North Texas Food Bank in conjunction with their “The Kitchen is the Heart of the Home” promotion, where participants can enter to win a $10,000 kitchen upgrade just in time for the holidays.

“As we focus on food, family, friends and the importance of the kitchen in our everyday lives this fall, it’s important that we remember those in our community who are less fortunate,” says Randall Graham, vice president and director of marketing for the Ebby Halliday.

“In keeping with our long-standing tradition of service to the community, we’re asking North Texas residents to help Ebby Halliday Realtors support one of our community’s most vital resources, the North Texas Food Bank,” Graham says.

The North Texas Food Bank recently issued an urgent call-to-action for the public to donate food, to volunteer in its two distribution centers, and to generously donate money to feed the hungry in North Texas. The urgency is heightened even more now that the government canceled ten deliveries of USDA food, and may cancel another 36 truckloads, as a result of the government shutdown.

Drop off canned food to any of Ebby’s 25 Dallas offices now through Sunday, Nov. 17. Items most needed include nutritious, family-size, non-perishable canned foods such as vegetables, fruits and meats.
