On Saturday, nibble on delicious cakes and cookies at NorthPark Center’s gigantic bake sale “Treats of Christmas,” featuring dozens of premier chefs from area restaurants and catering companies selling sweets to benefit the North Texas Food Bank. The goodies will be located on level one near Macy’s and level two between Nordstrom and Macy’s between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Bring your kids to the University Park library for story time (with puppets!) this Saturday at 3 p.m., located in Suite 200 of the Cambridge building in Preston Center. Sandy Shrout will perform the story, “Spider’s Christmas Surprise.” Afterwards, join fellow children for a craft time where the kids can make their very own spider hand puppet. Through Tuesday, Dec. 24, donate a new book or unwrapped toy to Ken’s Man Shop to benefit children at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. The Toy Maven, located next to Ken’s Man Shop, will offer a 20% discount to customers purchasing items for the toy drive.
