As we’ve mentioned here, a new healthy dining option is coming to Preston Center. Now, there’s an official opening date: June 27.
Led by chef Art Smith (formerly Oprah’s personal chef), vegan consultant chef Tal Ronnen and executive chef Jeremy Bringardner, LYFE Kitchen focuses low-calorie, low-sodium dishes, using 100-percent grass-fed beef free of hormones and antibiotics, along with as many organic ingredients as possible.
Some of the menu items include:
—Pizzadillawich: a stuffed pizza-like sandwich with melted cheese, fresh roasted vegetables and fresh basil, served alongside hot tomato sauce for dipping
—Baked garlic Parmesan sweet potato fries: served with spicy chipotle aioli and topped with freshly grated parmesan, freshly chopped garlic and fresh herbs
—Buffalo chicken wrap: featuring four super foods including avocado, black beans, Greek yogurt and kale, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla
It’s all under 600 calories and 1,000 milligrams of sodium. Read more in the Dallas Business Journal about the co-founder and CEO Mike Roberts, who used to be in charge of McDonald’s.
The new restaurant will be at: 8315 Westchester. LYFE also will open locations in Plano and the West Village.
