Back in May, we learned of the plans add turn lanes to parts of Northwest Highway to relieve some of the congestion. The project is about four months behind but construction should begin by February, says David Gan of the Texas Department of Transportation.
TxDOT will install new turn lanes at four intersections — Preston, the Dallas North Tollway, Inwood and Midway — to “expand storage space” Gan told us over the summer. The project eventually will extend to Harry Hines.
All of this is happening independent of the Preston Center land-use study, which still is in the early stages of formation.
