Need a reason to throw a party? Here’s a good one. AIDS Services of Dallas (ASD) needs help with its largest fundraiser of the year, the No Tie Dinner & Dessert Party, scheduled for April 9. Here’s how it works.
As an ASD supporter, you agree to a host dinner party at your home. You choose the menu, the dress code and the guests. Ask your invitees to make a $75 donation to ASD. That contribution gets them into the after party at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, where they (and you) can nosh on deserts, bid on auction items and dance the night away. The evening’s theme is “You Only Live Twice,” a reference to the James Bond film. Have a prior commitment? Don’t feel left out. Here’s a recipe for the a Reyka Double Bond, the party’s signature drink:
1 oz Reyka Vodka
¾ cup cranberry juice
Splash of ginger ale
Combine Reyka and cranberry in a glass filled with ice and stir.
Top with ginger ale and serve.
