If scoping out modern architecture is your preferred method of entertainment, there’s an event for you next week. On Tuesday, June 7, the 365 Modern Living Cocktail Reception Series launches from our neighborhood with a tour of a sleek local home.

With architecture and interior design by Bodron + Fruit, Inc., the home is built around a central courtyard with pocket doors that disappear into the wall for seamless indoor-outdoor living. It boasts green technology like solar panels, a rainwater collection system for irrigation and a geothermal HVAC system.

The evening runs from 6-8 p.m. and includes a cocktail reception and appetizers along with remarks from the design team about the architecture and interior.

Hosted by the Dallas Architecture Forum, the series also includes a creek-view residence in the city center and an expansive home on Cedar Creek Lake (the latter of which includes chartered bus service).

Tickets range from $110 ($90 for forum members) for a single evening, or $250 ($200 for members) for the entire series, and can be purchased here. Addresses are provided upon purchase.
