Preston Royal Village just added another new tenant: Eatzi’s.

The European-style market opened Thursday in the northeast corner of the shopping center, near longtime restaurant Royal China. Established in 1996, Eatzi’s offers pre-cooked meals, baked goods and specialty items.

The development is in the midst of a makeover, with new additions like Steel City Pops, Sur la Table and Shake Shack. South Carolina-based developer Edens is overseeing its revival.

“We’re trying to transition the retail there to be an experience, instead of a purely commodity-driven trip,” Tom Kiler, of Edens, told the Advocate in May.
