Rex’s Seafood gives our ‘hood another go with Northwest Highway location

Rex’s Seafood didn’t make the cut on Lovers Lane. Or Mockingbird and Abrams in Lakewood. But maybe, just maybe, Rex’s Seafood will thrive at 6713 W. Northwest Highway, where Kickshaw’s Fast Gastro Food & Drink previously doled out braised short ribs and burgers.

Rex’s Seafood currently has one location at Dallas Farmer’s Market. CultureMap reported owner Beau Bellomy — whose father, Rex, launched the seafood joint — “always wanted to get back into the neighborhood.”

“We still have a loyal following from when we were open on Lovers Lane,” he told the news outlet. “They come to see us at the Farmers Market but they’d like to have a closer location.”

The restaurant is expected to open in January 2019.
