Remember when there was that crazy crash at NorthPark Center’s parking garage last March? Yu Luo died and his friend was injured. A wrongful death lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Dallas County civil court, according to the Dallas Morning News. The suit calls the garages at NorthPark a “de facto racetrack” and seeks millions in damages for the families.
In a statement to the Dallas Morning News, NorthPark said: “While NorthPark remains deeply saddened by this incident, NorthPark unequivocally denies all claims of wrongdoing asserted in the lawsuit. Beyond that, NorthPark cannot comment at this time on pending litigation.”
Christopher Shaw was behind the wheel of a 2007 Dodge Charger making a “high-speed run” from the ground floor of the garage to its roof, the suit said. Shaw attempted to avoid the pair, but lost control of the car and struck both of them in the crosswalk.
