Join District 11 Councilman Lee Kleinman, Park Board representative and Friends of Northaven Trail president Jeff Kitner, and Parks and Recreation staff Thursday, Jan. 23, 6:30-8 p.m. to provide input on the extension of Northaven Trail (from Valleydale east to 75) to the planned pedestrian bridge over US Highway 75. The meeting will be at the Jewish Community Center, 7900 Northaven Road.
In other Northaven Trail news, according to Friends of Northaven Trail:
- The City of Dallas is finalizing completion of Phase 2A between Preston and Cinderella. This phase is expected to be completed by the end of January. The construction will connect the original trail (from Valleydale to Preston) with the already completed Phases 2B and 2C (from Cinderella to Monroe). An opening party is planned at the Semones Family YMCA on Saturday, Feb. 15 along the trail.
- Volunteers in Patrol on the Trail training is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, 10 a.m.-noon at Preston Royal Library.
