Two graduating seniors at W.T. White High School are shooting for the stars.

JaMya Cook and Jesalynn Jenkins were celebrated last month for their decision to continue playing basketball. Cook will play at North American University, and Jenkins will play for the United States Navy.

The girls are just a few of the many athletes from W.T. White’s class of 2021 who have decided to continue their athletic journeys after graduation. Four boys on the varsity soccer team will play in college.

Several Longhorn alumni over the years have achieved athletic success and recognition after they left our neighborhood. Read about some of them here.
