New fitness center eyes space near Midway Road and Northwest Highway

Our neighborhood may soon be welcoming another fitness studio.

Club Pilates applied for a certificate of occupancy for a storefront at the corner of Midway Road and Northwest Highway. The suite, nestled between La Madeleine and Joe’s Pizza, used to be a Chase Bank.

The nearest Club Pilates franchise is located in Lake Highlands near Walnut Hill and Audelia Road.

Club Pilates began in San Diego in 2007. It offers a variety of classes for all levels of experience. They are designed to target different goals, including strength, flexibility, stability, balance, coordination and more.

Instructors are required to go through hundreds of hours of training to meet teacher standards. Studios feature mats, rollers, Bosu balls and more.
