Nominees for The 2022 ESPYS on ESPN are in, and neighbor Luka Dončić has been nominated for “Best NBA Player.”

The ESPYS is a Grammy-style awards show that celebrates team and individual athletic achievement. The show airs live on July 20 at 7 p.m. CST.

This year is the second that “Best NBA Player” features nominees Luka Dončić, Nikola Jokić and Stephen Curry, with Joel Embiid joining the list this year. Curry will also be hosting this year’s awards.

According to StatMuse, Dallas Maverick Luka Dončić averaged 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.7 assists this season opposed to Jokic’s 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists and Curry’s  25.5 points, 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds in 64 games this season.

Statistics aside, ESPY awards are decided by fan voting, and Curry brings a 2021 “Best NBA Player” award to the mix.

Fan voting for all categories is now open on espys.com through Sunday, July 17.
