The average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Preston Hollow is about $3,000 a month, according to data from Rent.

That’s more expensive than Downtown, Uptown, Knox/Henderson and Deep Ellum, whose rents are among the highest in Dallas.

The average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in our city  is about $1,500, according to the data. That’s up about 18% from one year ago, but rent for studio and one-bedroom apartments has remained relatively flat compared to homes with larger square footage.

Three-bedroom apartments are renting for 51% more than a year ago, according to the data. The average cost for a three-bedroom is almost $2,600 a month in Dallas.

Two-bedrooms cost about $2,000 a month on average, up about 25% from a year ago.

The average price for a three-bedroom rental in Preston Hollow is $5,650.

While the Texas housing market “shows signs of cooling off,” Dallas landlords have seen three years of growth in rent prices. Rent here has increased faster than almost anywhere in the United States. And apartments are being built here faster than almost anywhere.
