Escondido, a Tex-Mex concept from Dallas restauranteur Jon Alexis and his new restaurant group, Imperial Fizz, is set to officially open Monday, Nov. 14.
The restaurant will take the space that was formerly Ruggeri’s at 5950 Royal Lane A. Escondido aims to “bring Tex-Mex back to Preston Hollow” years after the 2019 tornado that destroyed several business and homes.
With a sprawling patio that can seat 75, this will also be the largest restaurant patio in Preston Hollow.
Escondido will be open daily for lunch and dinner. Weekend brunch is coming soon. The menu includes Tex-Mex fare, like nachos, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and margaritas. There are seven Mexican-inspired cocktails, Mexican beers and a curated wine list.
Aside from dine-in and patio options, Escondido will offer a to-go window for pickup orders on the side of Royal Lane.
