Local restaurant Haystack Burgers & Barley will open its fifth location soon.
The burger joint has four locations in Dallas-Fort Worth, and the fifth will be at Preston Forest Shopping Center in our neighborhood. One location opened in Lakewood in 2020.
Haystack first opened in Richardson about a decade ago, founded by husband-and-wife duo Kevin and Jenny Galvan. Kevin represents the fourth generation in his family to own and operate restaurants.
“Even though we are a fast casual restaurant, we offer a full-service experience,” Kevin said in a news release. “We want every guest to feel special while dining with us and have instilled that hospitality in our employees.”
Haystack offers burgers, sandwiches, salads and milkshakes. All sauces and dressings are made from scratch.
The recipes for stuffed jalapeños and queso are from the Galvan family.
In addition to food, Haystack has 12 draught handles with rotating local beers. Special to the location in our neighborhood will be two red and two white wines available on tap.
Haystack will open for lunch and dinner Dec. 12 at 11700 Preston Road, suite 732.
